Estrellita Fitzhugh brings over 25 years of experience to promoting a number of policies and programs that range from protecting human rights, strengthening US foreign assistance, and gaining support for international environmental programs.After graduating from Smith College as a government major, Estrellita headed to Washington DC, and worked as a congressional aide in the U.S. House and Senate, focusing on international policies. Later, Ms. Fitzhugh worked at a number of non-governmental organizations, lobbying the US Congress and the Administration. Along the way Estrellita completed her studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with a Masters in US Foreign Policy and Economics.Estrellita shares her husband Richard’s, love of the outdoors; for their honeymoon, the two drove across the country camping and staying with friends. Years later, they hiked some 360 miles of the Appalachian Trail.Mrs. Fitzhugh is excited about joining Sigrid Fry-Revere’s team to help promote yet another worthy cause: stopping organ trafficking, and making organ donations and transplants accessible to more Americans.
